DMS Holland has recently welcomed two new employees on board to further strengthen the DMS Crew: Marcel Vrijsen and Rens van Hal.
Marcel Vrijsen (31) brings with him excellent communication skills and extensive experience in business planning, project management and product presentations.
Following numerous projects related to special coating solutions at various major yacht builders for both new yachts and refits, Marcel took the decision to fully focus on his passion for the yacht building industry. A move that he didn’t need to think about for long when it came to the commercial role at DMS.
Rens van Hal (28) is an all-round technician who has a great affinity with technology. His appointment to the team is set to significantly strengthen the company’s engineering capabilities. During an 8 year long military career Rens gained a wide range of technical expertise and experience related to complex technical systems. Throughout his time in the Dutch Royal Navy his technical work focussed on the Lynx helicopter and later, when he went on to work for the Dutch Royal Airforce, it was centered around modifying and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the electrical, navigational and flight guidance systems of the Chinook helicopter.
Both new team members are equipped with the necessary expertise and experience that DMS has been specifically looking both commercially and certainly on a technical level. In addition, a special test revealed that their personalities would fit perfectly into the DMS team profile, a factor which is of substantial significance to DMS Holland who attaches great importance to teamwork and job satisfaction.
These two latest appointments to the team follow the addition last year of Ankie Popken. Ankie, who has a sound financial background and extensive experience as a financial controller, joined the team as Office Manager. With her level-headed ‘stability’ equal to that of AntiRoll and MagnusMaster, Ankie has quickly become the rock solid fail-safe for the ever-evolving DMS.
Armed with this full-fledged team, DMS is now well placed to meet the increasing market demand for DMS systems. The MagnusMaster in particular is generating notable interest. In just six months over 30 MagnusMaster systems have already been delivered to the complete satisfaction of boat owners. The majority of boats (up to 30 meters) are equipped with two systems. Larger boats or yachts which have a greater initial stability are equipped with four systems.
The addition of Marcel and Rens addresses more than just strengthening the company’s resources in terms of new systems. More and more boat owners are approaching DMS Holland with requests to maintain their current systems. With the increased workforce, DMS Holland can now offer its own complete repair, maintenance and service department. The engineers at DMS Holland are experts in the field of motion control on board yachts and have considerable experience and knowledge of the various roll damping systems out there on the market. This means that maintenance and repair work can be carried out on all sorts of systems and that technical services are not just related to the company’s own products AntiRoll and MagnusMaster.
“We are delighted to welcome Marcel, Rens and Ankie to the team. More hands on deck providing more service on board for our customers. Hopefully, just as Ankie has done already, Marcel and Rens will take to us “like a fish to water” and we look forward to the new team taking DMS Holland full speed ahead. “ Comments Patrick Noor, Commercial Director and Co-owner of DMS Holland.
