Following the Trompert family’s success with the MagnusMaster, having had this stabilisation system installed on their ‘custom build’ Pollard MY Tiberius (see film below) in Sweden, the yard will now also go on to install the system on the ‘custom build’ Flybridge MY Baltic Breeze being built for a German customer. The hull is the same as that of the Trompert family’s boat, which is now back from a fantastic trip to Sweden. Only at the very last moment did the owner of MY Baltic Breeze opt for the MagnusMaster system instead of hydraulic fins. The welding buses have since already been placed in the hull and the system will be installed in May 2019. “As a shipyard, we are very pleased that the customer has chosen this system. We heard only good stories and feedback from the Trompert family, not only about the product itself but also about the company behind it. For us, the latter is also very important. You don’t build a boat on your own, you need good suppliers with quality products and that’s what this owner really went for,” says Jan Pollard, co-owner of Pollard Jachtbouw from Steenwijk. “Furthermore, this system can be installed nicely in the lazarette meaning it is not necessary to sacrifice cabinets in the saloon for the hydraulic units needed for fin stabilisers, which always need to be placed midship. And finally, this client had also heard more than once from others that they had damaged fins in the canals because they protrude making them vulnerable,” explains Herman Pollard, Jan’s brother and co-owner of Pollard Yacht building.
