During Boot Düsseldorf the first MagnusMaster stabilisation system for an ABIM was sold. This 13-metre boat had been built at the yard in Ossenzijl for the German owner. Both he and his wife had been avid sailors for years. That’s precisely why the open water has always appealed to them. Trips on the Wadden Sea to the islands was a firm favourite and back in the past, crossing the IJsselmeer from Lemmer to Muiden was also no problem. Soon however, they both came to the conclusion that the comfort on board was not what it had been. In looking at how to increase comfort, they spent a year and half considering whether or not to place stabilisers. DMS Holland is happy to announce that the decision has been made and that, as of the beginning of March, a 1 rotor system will be installed at Moonen Shipyards in Den Bosch.
