DMS Holland to start developing stabilisers for fast-planing yachts
Following the successful development and subsequent launch to market of the electric roll damping system for yachts up to 30 metres, the MagnusMaster, DMS Holland has now started, in cooperation with Brabant Engineering, the development of a roll damping system for fast-planing yachts up to 30 metres. This new AntiRoll damping system, like the MagnusMaster, will be produced as a standard-series stabiliser. Until now, AntiRoll has only been developed as a ‘custom build’ for super- and mega yachts. DMS Holland will be taking this patented dual-axis fin stabiliser and using it to form the basis for their new system. The fundamental concept behind AntiRoll remains the same, namely high-aspect fins that rotate whilst sailing and flap whilst the yacht is at anchor. It is stabilisation at fast speed that will form the extra addition and make it a 3-in-1 stabiliser. “How this will actually be achieved we are keeping to […]
DMS Holland chooses for social sustainability
DMS Holland is the international specialist in the field of stabilisers for luxury yachts. Reducing the rolling motion of a vessel greatly improves onboard comfort, reduces seasickness and increases safety. When a vessel experiences no rolling or hardly any rolling, it is able to maintain a better course, which in turn has a positive effect on the fuel consumption. Well-functioning stabilisers on board of a yacht are therefore of great importance. DMS Holland has two such products within its portfolio. These unique and groundbreaking roll damping systems are better known as AntiRoll, for yachts in excess of 30 metres, and MagnusMaster, for yachts up to 30 metres. IBN (Integrale Bedrijven Noordoost-Brabant) is one of the largest employers in the northeast of North Brabant. IBN provides opportunities to people who, without their help and support, would not successfully manage or find employment in the job market. Almost 3,600 motivated employees have […]
Stentor Luxury Motor Boat being equipped with a MagnusMaster system
Unfortunately, the once established name from Sneek has not existed for some time now. Fortunately, however, the many beautiful sturdy Stentor ships that were built do of course live on. For example, this beautiful 21.5 metre luxury motor boat called Morgenstond, designed by Vripack and built in 2006. Due to its high initial stability and its weight of more than 60 tonnes, and even more so because of its draft of 110 cm which needed to be preserved, Mr. and Mrs. Drent (still the original owners) decided, at the time, not to purchase a fin stabilisation system despite comfort being extremely important to them. “Some 12 years on and finally there is a stabilisation system we trust in for our boat. We had been following DMS Holland closely since 2013 and read many enthusiastic stories from their customers and about the performance of the system. We tend not to be […]
Holterman to build Hybrid Luxury Motor Boat equipped with MagnusMaster
The new classic-lined steel motor yacht of 21.6 meters is something new! This boat, built in collaboration with Trimm Design, was designed for a client who not only wants to make trips on open water but also wants to discover European inland waters. With an air draft of less than 3.45 metres, the ship is ideally suitable for the French canals. This was also a driving force behind the yard’s, customer’s and designer’s decision to select the MagnusMaster stabilisers. “These stabilisers are collapsible meaning the boat does not have to first go out and then back in the water again for the owner to go through the French canals. In the past, we had to deliver de-mountable fins for a customer for this very purpose. Furthermore of course, the fact that the DMS system is electrical and that naturally, that fits better with a hybrid motor yacht is clear”, says […]
De Kranerweerd from Zwartsluis operating as retro-fit installation station for MagnusMaster
During Boot Düsseldorf, Serious Yachts, in cooperation with Jachthaven De Kranerweerd from Zwartsluis, exhibited their beautiful Brightly 1530 on which visitors could actually see what the MagnusMaster system does under the vessel. It didn’t take long for the teams from Serious Yachts and De Kranerweerd to discover that these DMS Holland stabilisers attracted a lot of attention. Visitors were not only enthusiastic about using them on newbuilds, but there was also a lot of demand for retro-fitting the system. It is for those reasons exactly that De Kranerweerd decided to actively approach their potential customers. “There was a time when we could barely keep up with the demand to retro-fit bow and/or stern thrusters. Nowadays, we see that these are often installed as standard on many newbuilds. The demand in retro-fitting now seems to have moved onto that of stabilisers. The MagnusMaster is a very compact and therefore easy to […]
Valk Merlin 1400 MY Liberty to be equipped with MagnusMaster
Last year, the owner of this Valk Merlin 1440 experienced something truly terrible. As a result of a short circuit on board, his beautiful MY Liberty went up in flames. The vessel has since, under the guidance of Jachtservice Wierdsma from Franeker, undergone extensive work and is now being rebuilt. The owner has selected Jachtservice Wierdsma based on their extensive knowledge of and experience with Valk yachts. The hull is now ready and the installation will get underway. The vessel had previously been equipped with a fin stabilisation system, however this time round, the MagnusMaster rotor system from DMS Holland has been chosen. The main reason: no more issues with the disruptive steering effect that you experience with fins. The further advantages of using this system, namely being very quiet and having retractable rotors, are what ultimately determined the final choice. Jachtservice Wierdsma is very enthusiastic about the installation of, […]
First Bruijskotter with MagnusMaster
The first MagnusMaster stabilisation system for a Bruijs Spiegelkotter was sold during Boot Holland in Leeuwarden. The Dutch owners of this sturdy, 13.5 metre long, open cockpit vessel are ex-sailors and have seen a lot of the world with their sailing boat. Having already cruised a lot with their motor boat in the Netherlands, they are planning to once again head further afield. The first trip this year will take place in April, heading inland to France. Ultimately, the intention is to head towards the Channel Islands, via the French coast. At the beginning of April, the MagnusMaster 2 rotor system will be installed on the vessel at Moonen Shipyards in Den Bosch. From mid-April onwards you will be able to follow the Brandenburg Family and their journey on social media. They are looking forward to the upcoming trip which they can now embark upon without any worries about going […]
First MagnusMaster Stabilisation System for an ABIM
During Boot Düsseldorf the first MagnusMaster stabilisation system for an ABIM was sold. This 13-metre boat had been built at the yard in Ossenzijl for the German owner. Both he and his wife had been avid sailors for years. That’s precisely why the open water has always appealed to them. Trips on the Wadden Sea to the islands was a firm favourite and back in the past, crossing the IJsselmeer from Lemmer to Muiden was also no problem. Soon however, they both came to the conclusion that the comfort on board was not what it had been. In looking at how to increase comfort, they spent a year and half considering whether or not to place stabilisers. DMS Holland is happy to announce that the decision has been made and that, as of the beginning of March, a 1 rotor system will be installed at Moonen Shipyards in Den Bosch.
New order for a Zuiderzee River line 1500 for Swiss owner
Willem Pasterkamp of Zuiderzee Jachten recently sold a new design to a Swiss owner who had previously had a Zuiderzee Jacht built. In contrast to what the name of the vessel may point to, the owner is planning on sailing on the open water with this boat. At Boot Düsseldorf the owner, along with his wife, visited DMS Holland to take a look at the stabilisers they had chosen. Everyone was convinced that, with their new Zuiderzee together with the MagnusMasters, they could certainly make nice long journeys without needing to worry about sailing on the sea. At the end of this year the boat will be delivered to the owner.
Jetten Yacht Support for delivery and installation of MagnusMaster Stabilisers
Since the brothers Marcel and Sander Jetten sold their yard last year, Jetten Yacht Support has been founded. The name says it all; the company will mainly focus on providing service and support to luxury yachts. Alonsgide that, there is an increasing growth in refit work and the expansion and/or replacement with ‘up to date’ equipment on board. From the outset, the sale and installation of MagnusMaster stabilisers will also be used for that very purpose. “This product ideally lends itself to our goal and the associated work. The system is relatively simple to retrofit into an existing yacht. You can always find a space for it and no hydraulics are needed”, explains Marcel Jetten. “We have already successfully equipped and sailed on one ship with a MagnusMaster system that we have installed. The end result was a very satisfied customer. And that’s a great sign”, says Sander Jetten, who […]
DMS Holland starts development of AntiRoll 3-in-1-system
Now that the MagnusMaster has successfully found its footing in the market and that business at DMS Holland is going well, the decision has been made to start with the development of the new patented AntiRoll 3-in-1 system. This development is being carried out in cooperation with Brabant Engineering and is also supported by RVO (Rijksdienst Voor Ondernemend Nederland – Netherlands Enterprise Agency), who, in December 2017, provided the so-called MIT subsidy. This new AntiRoll system will be predominantly developed for high-speed yachts up to 30 metres, of which thousands are produced worldwide every year. Currently, there are sometimes up to three systems delivered on such ships because the individual stabilisation systems simply cannot deliver the best performance for every type of condition on their own. The new AntiRoll 3-in-1 system is capable of doing this meaning it is able to deliver the best performance at not only Zero Speed […]
MagnusMaster heads to Greece for First Time
The MagnusMaster has now also been discovered in Greece. In the coming months a large amount of hard work will be put into the major refit of an Aquanaut GV 1700 called MY Infinity. This vessel was originally equipped with fin stabilisers which were struck for the third time and damaged last year whilst sailing around the beautiful Greek Islands. This was partly why the owner decided to have the current system replaced by the MagnusMaster stabilisation system which, as is known, is electric and collapsible. Now that the fin system has been replaced, it has been decided to place the MagnusMasters as far back as possible to give even more protection when retracting back through the keel of the vessel. The boat belongs to a Russian owner and, as many more Russian owners are already in possession of a MagnusMaster system or want to purchase it, DMS Holland has […]
DMS Holland preferred supplier for Linssen Yachts
It is with great pride that both Linssen Yachts and DMS Holland announce that, as of July 2017, their cooperation, which originally started when DMS Holland was established back in December 2012, is now officially recognised under the title of “Preferred Supplier”. Linssen Yachts’ dealers and potential customers now find the MagnusMaster stabilisers on their price list as standard. “During the first few years of our cooperation extensive testing was carried out with the MagnusMaster system. Since then we now have a number of satisfied owners who are sailing around with a MagnusMaster system on board”, says Yvonne Linssen, co-owner of Linssen Yachts. Patrick Noor: “It is only natural of course that we were not put on the Linssen Yachts option list straight away with our MagnusMaster systems when we presented our new stabilisers for the first time. Such a well-oiled company and series yacht builder like Linssen Yachts is […]
Renowned yacht naval architect chooses MagnusMaster
The famous naval architect Dick Boon has recently ordered a MagnusMaster stabilisation system for his yacht Mare-N, named after his granddaughter. The system will be installed by DMS Holland in cooperation with Turkish specialists and commissioned in Marmaris. “We consider it a huge compliment that Dick Boon has opted for MagnusMaster. It is, for us, confirmation that MagnusMaster meets the highest of demands in the yachting industry.” Explains Patrick Noor, Owner/Sales & Marketing Director of DMS Holland. Dick Boon, born in 1938, turns 80 next year and is still a keen water sports enthusiast. He sails a lot on Turkish and Greek waters with his yacht Mare-N, a classic 19.30 metre yacht recognisable by its yellow funnel and its two masts. Dick Boon, an out-and-out water going man, had already started drawing boats as a toddler, he taught himself to sail and in 1961, at the age of 23, he […]
New stabilizers for MV Astra – a result of the cooperation between DMS Holland and Balk Shipyard
As a result of the cooperation between DMS Holland and Balk Shipyard – with Balk Shipyard being DMS’s first official installation facility in Europe – the companies proudly to announce that MV Astra is the first vessel that has been launched after installing the MagnusMaster stabilizers at the Balk Shipyard premises. Built in 1994 and with a total length of 24 meters MV Astra is a real tugboat of 170 tons built under ice class and has been used as a rescue service vessel for many years. Even after being sold to her current Swedish Owner her ice breaking services were used several times. First of all, let us clarify the difference between traditional fins and the MagnusMaster stabilizers. The MagnusMaster stabilizers are a fully electrical driven, non-hydraulic roll damping system for yachts and vessels up to 30 metres. Instead of traditional fins, the system uses rapidly rotating cylinders which […]
New location for DMS Holland at METS
DMS Holland’s move from the SuperYacht Pavilion to Hall 12 has been made in conjunction with the company’s decision to this year focus on their bestseller MagnusMaster – a fully electric roll damping system for yachts up to 30 metres. With MagnusMaster, DMS Holland is now the market leader in The Netherlands, is the preferred supplier to more than 20 shipyards, is a business established and ready for export and is looking for international distributors. Thanks to its quick delivery time, ease of installation and the fact that it can be fitted on board in an incredibly short period of time, MagnusMaster is an attractive and opportunity-rich product for dealers and distributors.
MagnusMaster now also out for charter
The first luxury charter yacht to be equipped with MagnusMaster stabilisers is a fact. Sanzi Yacht Charter has added the Jetten MPC 50, “Ma Jolie”, to its young fleet. Within just weeks of being put up for charter, this yacht was already booked up for more than 12 weeks in 2018. (Future) yacht owners who are considering installing stabilisers or would like to know how it feels to sail with stabilisers now can. By chartering “Ma Jolie”, they have the opportunity to test and experience first hand the MagnusMaster system for a longer period of time and under a variety of circumstances, at their own leisure. The renowned Jetten Shipyard, located in Sneek and the builder of “Ma Jolie” is one of the 20 plus Dutch shipyards who have chosen DMS Holland as their preferred supplier for stabilisers.
Boarnstream full speed ahead with DMS Holland and MagnusMaster
Following a very successful Hiswa-In-Water show where no less than two Boarnstream ships were on display, the Elegance 1500 – CS and the 1360 Elegance – Sedan, MagnusMaster sales are moving full speed ahead. During the show itself and then again less than two weeks later, they sold two systems for DMS Holland. The first was for their smallest vessel ever to be fitted with stabilisers, namely the BC 1250 Elegance – Sedan. For this vessel a MagnusMaster 1 rotor system was sold. The second sale was for a retrofit on anThe shipyard certainly recognises the potential available as a yard in taking care of the retrofit of MagnusMasters for their now very large client base. “There are still so many vessels without a stabilisation system. With this system, in addition to it being very flexible in terms of installation, we do not need to expand or install a hydraulic […]
Retrofit on Jetten MPC-50 achieved within three weeks
On Monday 28th August Jetten Shipyards ordered a 2 rotor MagnusMaster system for an existing MPC-50. By the Friday of that very same week, the welding buses had already been delivered, put in place and welded. The week after, on Thursday 7th September, the system was delivered ready for installation the next day. No more than a few days later, on Wednesday 13th September, the complete system was connected electrically ready to be commissioned and be able to undergo a sea trial with the shipyard and customer the day after. We wish this customer an unbelievable amount of sailing pleasure! “I’m going to be taking my wife to England by sea for the first time and I did not want to ruin both mine and her enjoyment for the future. It has not been a cheap option for our pleasure craft but ultimately that is what it should remain of […]
Collaboration with Balk Shipyards extends to the Monaco Yacht Show
The collaboration which started just a few months ago will be visibly present during the Monaco Yacht Show. This year, for the first time, Balk Shipyards will be presenting both of DMS Holland’s products. Not only the patented AntiRoll system but also the MagnusMaster system, for which a 4 rotor system has recently been ordered to be retro-fitted on MY Astra. “We are seeing DMS Holland experience enormous growth with their MagnusMaster system for retro-fit on vessels of up to 30 metres. With this system, they are already by far the market leader in the Netherlands. Being able to attracting projects to the Netherlands for the retro-fit of their stabilisers therefore presents great opportunities. The first result has already come in the form of MY Astra, which was apparently not seen as an easy project according to other industry colleagues. We are therefore extra proud of this achievement.” Comments Daan […]
Retro-fit of MagnusMaster 4 rotor system at Balk Shipyards on MY Astra
On Monday 18th September, MY Astra, a Swedish rescue vessel that can break through the ice and that has been transformed into a pleasure craft, made its way to Balk Shipyards in Urk for the installation of a DMS Holland MagnusMaster 4 rotor system. The vessel will be leaving the yard in just three to four weeks time. Until then, we will be keeping the details behind this retro-fit under wraps. At the end of October / early November more information will follow about this project and its owner, Per Johansson, who will be sharing his experiences with our company and the MagnusMaster system.
DMS Holland co-sponsors Maritiem Den Bosch 2017
DMS Holland has participated, for the very first time since the company started, as a sponsor of this year’s Maritime Den Bosch. The following film was advertised on two large LED screens in Den Bosch on show to no less than 150,000 visitors. Maritime Den Bosch is a nautical event that has taken place in and around Den Bosch since 1977. This year the event took place on the 15th, 16th and 17th of September and was once again a fantastic show.
Veno Yacht Service sells MagnusMaster for retrofit on 14.5m Alm Trawler MY Mitra
Alongside building yachts of up to 20 metres under the name Veno Yachting, Arjan Bruintjes also has another company, Veno Yacht Service, for both service and retrofit. Last year, the yard took on a 14.5m Alm Trawler. This year, the Swiss owner of that vessel opted to have a MagnusMaster stabilisation system installed. The yard recognised opportunities in relation to installing such a product giving them reason enough to promote the system at the Hiswa in-water Boat Show on their own stand.
Deep Water Yachts to put MagnusMaster in its specification
Just before the Hiswa-In-Water show, Peter Bost, owner of Deep Water Yachts, decided to move over to the MagnusMaster rotors following a visit to the DMS Holland showroom in Den Bosch. Since then, the first Deep Water Korvet 14 CLR has been sold. Furthermore, a new Korvet 18 Long Range is now on the drawing board and construction of the aluminum hull will be started in early 2018. This pleasure craft offers owners incredible opportunities for crossing the ocean with great comfort and safety. For that of course, you cannot go without a good stabiliser: MagnusMaster is now in the specification. At the Hiswa-In-Water show, our product was fully endorsed and promoted by Deep Water Yachts.
DMS Holland is coming to you this Hiswa
Have you already visited this year’s Hiswa-in-Water show? Then there is a chance that you have already noticed that this time round, DMS Holland is following a completely different course. This year we do not have a manned-stand with a demonstration model of a roll damping system on display. Instead we have an interactive presentation wall on which the logos of the shipyards to which DMS Holland supplies the MagnusMaster system and a film with testimonials can be seen. Patrick Noor explains: “We want to show the visitors that we are proud to be delivering the MagnusMaster stabilisation system to more than 20 shipyards in the Netherlands alone. And then to the full satisfaction of both the yard and the end customer. In highlighting the close cooperation that we have with the yards, we want to emphasise and strengthen our position as the ‘preferred supplier’.” In addition to the presentation […]

Retrofitted MagnusMaster stabilisers for MY Undercover
Last month, the MagnusMaster system was installed on the beautiful Linssen Grand Sturdy 590 Wheel House in little under a week. In August, the boat will be leaving the port of “Oolderhuuske” and heading out to the open sea. “Naturally, we will once again be heading back out to open water. With a well working stabilisation system I’m certain I will be able to convince my wife of getting back out on the open sea again,” comments the owner of MY Undercover. In addition to MY Undercover, its sister ship MY Kwinte Bank has already been enjoying the waters offshore for the last year, fully satisfied with their MagnusMaster stabilisation system.
DMS Holland now also a “preferred supplier” to Van Der Heijden Yachts
As is the now the case at many shipyards across The Netherlands, DMS Holland’s MagnusMaster system will now also be the first choice for Van Der Heijden Yachts when it comes to installing a stabilisation system. DMS Holland is already the ‘preferred supplier’ at more than 20 yards in the Netherlands alone. “For us as a shipyard, it is not only about the stability that DMS Holland will deliver to our vessels but also about the continuity and reliability of the company behind the product,” comments Ronald van der Heijden, who commissioned the task of delivering the MagnusMaster System on their beautiful 21 metre Explorer.
DMS Holland sells its first MagnusMaster system in Asia
Back in April, DMS Holland received a request to equip a very old classic wooden boat, built in 1944, with the MagnusMaster roll damping system. So, combined with a trip to attend the Singapore Yacht Show, DMS Holland headed to Asia to visit MY Chris Go. In September, the specially developed MagnusMaster 4 rotor system will be installed on this beautiful vessel with its stunning round bilge and incredibly stylish lines. (see picture).

These 16 metre round bilge vessels, whose keels will be laid in October, still remain a secret and have not yet been disclosed to the public. Holterman Shipyard will be unveiling these new designs very soon.

The owner of the yacht opted for this system following his visit to the DMS Holland showroom in Den Bosch and the subsequent sea trial in Hindeloopen. Following the good experiences that Bart van den Hoven has had so far both personally with Patrick Noor and the MagnusMaster system itself, preparations are now underway to include the system as standard in the specifications of their latest models. These new models are set to gain a lot of media attention thanks to two sea trials which have been arranged by Bart van den Hoven including one for the magazine ‘Motorboot’. “I have been doing business with Patrick Noor for years. Now that Patrick, together with Arnold van Aken, has his own company I have every […]

DMS Holland to sponsor Motorboot Sneek
From the very outset of its relatively short existence dating back to 2013, DMS Holland has always taken part in both the spring and autumn Motorboat Sneek shows. Having already become a very international show, it simply continues to grow. Not only in terms of the number of visitors but also in the number of participants. And for these reasons, DMS Holland has decided to not only continue taking part as a participant and friend but also to further demonstrate its support for this biennial show as a main sponsor. The sponsorship contract is now in place with the Motorboat Sneek organization and comes in to effect as of 2017. Privateer Yachts orders first MagnusMaster
Following the move of numerous other Dutch shipyards, Privateer Yachts has now also ordered its first MagnusMaster stabilization system from DMS Holland. The system will be delivered to the Ineichen family from Switzerland for their beautiful open cockpit Elegance 43 in mid April 2017. Having sold their business they are planning on making longer and bigger trips with their boat MY Meander, on which they have already enjoyed several years of cruising. Sailing on open waters is set to be unavoidable and therefore has resulted in one great desire for their boat. In fact, all the raw materials and equipment for five new motor sailors being built there are being purchased from The Netherlands to be shipped to Chile! These first “Dutch tinted” yachts are being built in Chile for rental purposes which is somewhat of a unique concept. They will be the first yard that, thanks to the installation of the MagnusMaster, is able to provide more comfort and safety for those looking to make longer trips along the stunning Chilean coastline. These beautiful motor sailors were developed together with Vripack. It is with this project that DMS Holland makes its first MagnusMaster steps in South America from which a new market will be tapped in to in conjunction with Chile Navik forming its local base.

Dutch shipyards and yacht owners reward DMS Holland for their passion!
Just a little over a year ago, during the METS trade show in 2015, DMS Holland introduced their own MagnusMaster rotor stabiliser. Developed with passion and driven by perfection DMS Holland approached existing customers and shipyards with their MagnusMaster system. The majority of the yards moved straight over to the new system and now, just over a year later, the rest of the yards are also on the move towards MagnusMaster. The system is absolutely ideal for those yacht owners who expect a bit more from their yacht, who want to make longer trips with more comfort and safety. It is, therefore, incredibly rewarding for DMS Holland to have received so many orders this year from so many great yards. Amongst those are Steeler, Aquanaut, Linssen, Zuiderzee Boarnstream, Jetten, Sturiër, Super Lauwersmeer Van Den Hoven, Flevo Jachtbouw, Kremer Nautic, Wim van der Valk as well as many more.

The yacht, built by ZuiderZee Yachting, will now be equipped with the MagnusMaster rotor stabilisation system from DMS Holland so that they can safely and very comfortably head back out on the water.
MagnusMaster production is running at full speed.
There are another 8 new systems ready and waiting to be sent out. Following three incredibly busy months which have included events such as Hiswa-in-Water Boat Show, Monaco Yacht Show, Motorboat Sneek, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and METS as well as the export mission to Spain with the Holland Yachting Group, the order intake has hit new heights! We are delighted to be delivering MagnusMaster Systems for new projects at De Boarnstream, Steeler Yachts, Aquanaut Dutch Craftsmanship, Vripack and Zuiderzee Yachting.
DMS Holland goes America
Up to Monday 7 November DMS Holland will participate in the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. In the Holland Pavilion, located in the Yachbuilders & Designers tent (681A), we will present our AntiRoll stabilizer on board the OceaX60 concept yacht of Virgin-Concept-Yachts and designed by Edwin van der Mark. Why did Edwin van der Mark and Virgin-Concept-Yachts choose the DMS Holland AntiRoll stabilizers as one of their innovations? First of all the design is simple and still the most innovative in the world today! It does not have any compromises for the stability request by the owner like with alternative stabilizer systems. You will save up to 90% of maintenance costs in the first 5 years thanks to the maintenance free design. This is important for the yacht owners and their management. It is the most efficient fin stabilizer; this design can replace 90% of all 4 fin zero-speed systems due to AntiRoll’s high aspect […]
Motorboot Sneek huge success
On the first day of Motorboot Sneek we received the order for a MagnusMaster system for a Global Voyager 1700 which will be built by Aquanaut Yachting Holland. During the event we also made sea trails with 16 serious prospects on board the Aquanaut Andante. Pictures will follow soon!
Visit to Spanish refit yards
In late October, six members of the HISWA Holland Yachting Group, amongst whom was DMS Holland’s Patrick Noor, took part in a trade mission to Spain. The aim of this mission was to introduce the Dutch maritime suppliers’ quality products to the Spanish (refit) yards. On Friday October 20th, the group traveled down to Mallorca. Whilst there they attended the annual PINMAR Golf Event during the weekend. On the Monday and Tuesday of the trip, each of the members made individual business visits to various refit yards in Mallorca and Barcelona including, amongst others, a visit to the largest and most famous refit yard in Spain, MB92. The members were pleasantly surprised by the opportunities lying within the Spanish refit market. This trade mission took part with the close cooperation of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce / Enterprise Europe Network, the Mallorcan Chamber of Commerce and the Netherlands Business Support […]
It’s a first: Demonstration vessel with MagnusMaster on show at Motorboat Sneek
In and around Sneek you will find a high concentration of water sport businesses. In conjunction with a number of hosting shipyards, they organise a local boat show from the 28th to the 30th October. The event takes place at the participating companies enabling the visitor to get acquainted with all the different yachts and take a look ‘behind the scenes’ all in one go. At each location, visitors learn about the latest trends and innovations whilst also enjoying a snack and drink. One of these new innovations featured at the show is the MagnusMaster roll damping system and a demonstration model of this will be set up at Aquanaut Yachting. Furthermore, visitors can test out the system for themselves on board of the Andante 438 OC, an Aquanaut Yachting demonstration vessel. In addition to Aquanaut Yachting, there are a number of other shipyards participating in Motorboat Sneek who also […]
Monaco market launch
New build yacht equipped with AntiRoll With the green light given for the go ahead of a new 56m expedition yacht that will be equipped with AntiRoll, Monaco Yacht Show 2016 could not have got off to a better start for DMS Holland (QAB6). This new build project is based on a design by Hoek Design Naval Architects and will be managed by Master Yachts Consultancy. Hoek Design Naval Architects and AntiRoll together on ‘expedition’ AntiRoll is DMS Holland’s innovative and high-tech stabilization system. It provides uncompromised performance at both zero speed and whilst cruising all from just one single system thanks to its dual axis, high-aspect ratio fins. This patented system provides safety and comfort based on technical ingenuity without the compromises experienced with traditional systems. It is a revolutionary innovation in the best sense of Dutch maritime tradition. To this end, in 2014, DMS Holland received the Maritime […]

In the week just after the Hiswa in Water Boat Show eight international journalists from various watersport magazines enjoyed two days of sea trials on board several Dutch build motor and sailing yachts. Among these yachts a Sturiër Dutchman 52 and an Aquanaut Andante both equipped with a MagnusMaster stabilization system.
Rendez-Vous Grand Banks and DMS Holland
Several times a year, the Amicale Grand Banks West-Europe, an association Grand Banks’ yacht owners, organise a rendez-vous. DMS Holland, sponsor of the Amicale Grand Banks, has become a regular guest at the event over the years. This year’s rendez-vous took place in Hoorn during the last weekend of August. The historic inner harbour was full with seaworthy trawlers in various sizes and designs. During the event, in the old prison which has been converted into a hotel and conference facility, DMS Holland showed the new MagnusMaster video. In the film, we hear from owners of a Steeler, Sturiër, Vripack trawler and Van der Heijden yacht respectively. The film provides a great overview of not only DMS Holland’s processes and way of working but also the relationship between DMS Holland and the customer / yacht owner. In addition, the film features the various (production) partners and provides an insight into […]
100th anniversary of the KNMC
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Royal Dutch Motorboat Club (KNMC) receiving its Royal title. The KNMC celebrated this milestone with its members from the 25th to the 28th August. Over the four days, approximately 100-120 members moored their yachts in the Batavia habour in Lelystad. Numerous activities were organized including a boat trip on the former Royal yacht, the Piet Hein, as well as excursions to Lelystad, Oostvaardersplassen and the media tower. DMS Holland had the great pleasure of being able to present the MagnusMaster to members of the KNMC during the event. The best advertisement of all for the MasterMagnus came from a number of DMS Holland customers themselves who already sail with a DMS Holland system and their enthusiasm spread to the KNMC members. The KNMC was founded in 1907, known then as the Dutch Motorboat Club. From its inception, the association has always been […]

His appointment to the team is set to significantly strengthen the company’s engineering capabilities. During an 8 year long military career Rens gained a wide range of technical expertise and experience related to complex technical systems. Throughout his time […]
Magnus Master on board Serious Yachts
Since November 2015, when DMS Holland launched their roll damping system MagnusMaster during METS, no less than 30 systems have already been sold. Amongst those sold are two systems for the Brightly 1530 built by Serious Yachts. The Brightly 1530 is a classic motor yacht featuring an elegant flared bow combined with modern touches and modern equipment. The seaworthy round bilge hull combined with the retractable MagnusMaster rotor stabilizers make for very enjoyable sailing qualities on board the vessel.
Van den Hoven Jachtbouw chooses MagnusMaster
An increasing number of shipyards are finding their way to DMS Holland. And now Van Den Hoven Jachtbouw is also amongst them. They have made MagnusMaster standard in the specification for their latest model the Executive 1850. The Executive 1850 is the natural follow up to the shipyard’s 1700 series. Both the exterior and the interior are designed by John van Leeuwen in cooperation with yacht designer Arnold de Ruyter. The first yacht in this series, for which a MagnusMaster system has been ordered, is being built as a demonstration yacht for Hiswa on the Water 2017. “I’ve been doing business with Patrick Noor for years. Now that Patrick has his own company together with Arnold van Aken, I have every confidence that not only are the products good but above all that the after sales will also be superbly taken care of. That’s why I chose the MagnusMaster system”, […]
Successful sea trial with 4-rotor system in Spain
This spring, DMS Holland installed a 4-rotor MagnusMaster roll damping system on board of MY You and Me in collaboration with a shipyard in Cartagena, Spain. MY You and Me is a 29 meter fast sailing polyester yacht which was originally built in 1999 by NOTIKA shipyards in Turkey. This recent installation of the system reaffirms that the electrically driven MagnusMaster system is ideally suited for the refit market. The video of the sea trial shows just how quickly the MagnusMaster system stabilizes the yacht.
International maritime journalists visit Den Bosch
Last week the annual press tour of the Holland Yachting Group (HYG), the trade association for Dutch superyacht builders and suppliers, took place. On the invitation of HYG and its members, 15 journalists and editors from international superyacht media visited the various businesses from within the group. On day one of the tour they were guests at DMS Holland’s neighbour Moonen Shipyards where DMS Holland also had the opportunity to present themselves. In collaboration with Moonen Shipyards and Kuiper Dutch Marine Panels, DMS Holland put on a BBQ for the guests. Recently, Moonen Shipyards has started to become a MagnusMaster installation post. They installed the first system in MY Black Pearl in early April.
Brabant’s Deputy visits DMS Holland
On Wednesday 13th April, Mr. Bert Pauli, Deputy for the province of Brabant, visited DMS Holland. The visit followed the special mention which Mr. Henk Kamp, Minister of Economic Affairs, gave DMS Holland in an interim review of the 2010-2018 national Valorization. During his visit, Mr. Pauli received a detailed insight in to the company’s stabilization systems AntiRoll and MagnusMaster. Patrick Noor (Director of Marketing) showed him, amongst other items, a film featuring the unique kicking effects of the recently deceased Johan Cruijff, the unparalleled number 14, to clearly explain and demonstrate the physical principle of the Magnus effect. In his response, Mr. Pauli underlined in particular the importance of the innovative strength of companies such as DMS Holland in relation to the economic growth of Brabant. Furthermore, the fact that nature itself had been an inspiration, in this case with the whale, captured his imagination, “in the future, especially […]
DMS Holland treats KNMC members to a Whitsun breakfast
Twelve KNMC members took part in the Whitsun tour on board their boats. They arrived on the Saturday in the atmospheric centre of Den Bosch which was alive with Jazz in Duketown. Following the soulful Saturday evening, the members were picked on Sunday morning in sloops from the local company ‘Sloep varen Den Bosch’ and taken to DMS Holland where a celebratory breakfast awaited them, livened up with a musical accompaniment provided by KNMC member Ad de Wit on the accordion.

Cooperation is key to success in maritime industry
DMS Holland’s Arnold van Aken and Patrick Noor together with Tom de Vries, Managing Director of Feadship – Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw discussing innovation, sustainability and cooperation in the maritime industry.
AntiRoll chosen for expedition yacht
Edwin Vandermark has designed a 60m expedition yacht exclusively for Virgin Concept Yachts. The yacht has been designed to provide the ultimate sailing experience, one that extends from where palm trees line the shores to where penguins call their home. Even ice-breaking adventures on the Antarctic waters are possible with this vessel. DMS Holland is proud to have the AntiRoll stabilizers included in the specification as standard for this exclusive design. With its retractable fins and due to the fact that AntiRoll provides stabilization both underway and whilst at anchor, it remains the most suitable stabilization system for ice areas.
Boat Equipment Watersport to install MagnusMaster
In addition to those already set up in Friesland, Zeeland and Brabant, Limburg now also has its very own MagnusMaster Installation Centre. It comes in the form of Boat Equipment Watersport in Maasbracht. Boat Equipment Watersport is a renowned installation, maintenance and service company. They work in close cooperation with neighbouring boat builder Linssen Yachts and also offer a direct service to customers for installation and maintenance relating to Volvo, Vetus, Yamaha and Tohatsu. The area in and around the Maas is an interesting market for DMS Holland. The concentration of yachts of 10 meters plus is very high in this area and it is this size range that is a key target market for the MagnusMaster stabilization system. On the big rivers is often difficult to keep course. Due to strong currents, the waves and drafts from passing commercial vessels can cause smaller vessels to start swaying which can […]
Brabant Engineering exhibits the MPCH hydraulic clamping hub
This week, during ESEF, Benelux’s largest and most important trade fair in the field of supply, subcontracting, product development and engineering, Brabant Engineering is exhibiting the MPCH hydraulic clamping hub. The clamping hub has been developed by Dynamic Marine Systems B.V. (DMS Holland) in collaboration with Brabant Engineering in response to a need for the AntiRoll roll damping system – the existing clamping hubs available on the market were not suitable for the harsh conditions in which ship stabilizers have to operate. DMS Holding has the patent for both the AntiRoll stabilization system and the MPHC hydraulic clamping hub. In addition to being used for the AntiRoll stabilization system, DMS Holland has also identified other suitable applications for the clamping hub. Good ‘solid’ cooperation between Brabant entrepreneurs.
DMS Holland at the Van der Valk Experience Event 2016
Once again, DMS Holland has been given the opportunity to present its stabilization systems, AntiRoll and MagnusMaster, at the Van der Valk Experience Event. The show takes place at the Van Der Valk Continental Yachts’ state-of-the-art yacht building facilities in Waalwijk and runs from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th March. Both the Continental Two 23m Flybridge and the Continental One 15m Wheelhouse, which will be showcased at this international event, are equipped with a DMS rotor stabilization system.
MagnusMaster for Yerseke Offshore 62
Yerseke Watersportservice, a company based in Zeeland, is busy outfitting the Yerseke Offshore 62 which will be delivered during the course of 2017. The Yerseke Offshore 62, an aluminum yacht measuring 18.5m by 5.1m with a displacement of 30 tonnes, has been designed by the Yerseke Group and Trimm Design. The vessel is equipped with two John Deere engines, each of 300 hp, and can reach a speed of 15 knots. Both the Navio steering and the Navio autopilot are also hydraulic. The ship management and the navigation systems are modern professional systems. The vessel is designed for use on the high seas but thanks to special modifications, it can also be used on inland waterways. These adaptations include spud poles and hydraulically folding mast and antennas to achieve […]
VaarTV visits DMS Holland
During BootHolland, VaarTV visited DMS Holland. VaarTV is the only national watersports television programme. During the episode which aired on February 20th, VaarTV took the viewer on a journey in to the world of seasickness and roll damping providing the viewer with an explanation of the Magnus Effect upon which makes DMS Holland’s MagnusMaster roll damping system is based.
MagnusMaster for Mulder Favorite
This spring will see the first Mulder yacht be equipped with the DMS Holland rotor stabilization system, the MagnusMaster. The system will be on board of MY Le Mirron, a Favorite 1500. The first Mulder Favorite came off the production line in the 1950s. A large number are still sailing the seas today. In 2010, to mark its 70th anniversary, Mulder brought the Favorite back on to the market with a completely updated model. The new version has been designed by Guido de Groot and Vripack Naval Architects. The aluminum Mulder Favorite 1500 has a round bilge hull and can achieve a maximum speed of 18 knots. These were both properties that played a role in determining the choice of the stabilization system. The MasterMagnus rotors can be retracted under the yacht when sailing at high speed. “Seeing as we usually sail at a maximum speed of 8 to 10 […]

MagnusMaster off to Spain
Having already delivered systems to Portugal, Turkey and the USA, next month a MasterMagnus four-rotor system will be also be installed in Spain. It all started at the recent Boot Düsseldorf where the Captain of MY You and Me, a 29 metre fast sailing polyester yacht built in 1999 at NOTIKA shipyard in Turkey, visited the DMS Holland stand. It only took a brief explanation of the MagnusMaster system to convince him of the functionality and he returned the next day with the owner. The current onboard stabilization system is made up of two Mitsubishi gyro stabilizers which stabilize the yacht well when stationary. “By placing a MagnusMaster system alongside the gyro system I will be making my wife and children happy. Plus it means I can enjoy a lot of nice holidays with my family on board”, explains the owner of MY You and Me. The system will be […]
First MagnusMaster on a Van de Heijden Yacht
At the end of March – early April the yacht Black Pearl, a 21 meter steel yacht built by Van der Heijden Yachts, will be equipped with a MagnusMaster roll damping system by Moonen Shipyards. In 2012, the yard delivered the yacht to its owner Mr. Peinemann, co-owner of Peinemann Lifting Solutions. “After more than three boating seasons we have decided to install stabilizers to Black Pearl so that the long trips to England and Denmark in particular will be more comfortable and that the weather and the waves are less likely to interrupt our sailing.” explained Mr. Peinemann. “Although Black Pearl had been prepared for a traditional stabilization system with fins by the yard, we decided upon the electric rotor system MagnusMaster. I’ve been following all the publications on DMS Holland’s rotor system for some time now and am convinced of its performance. Furthermore, MagnusMaster is produced at Burg […]
‘Royal’ start to the new year
DMS Holland invited to event for ‘Máxima – izing” growth Due to a somewhat overconfident ski maneuver, Patrick Noor did have to dose up on painkillers but that was a price he was willing to pay. For, as the owner and Sales & Marketing Director of DMS Holland together with Arnold van Aken, co-owner / Director of Engineering, he was invited to the ‘kick-off’ of “NLGroeit” (NL Grows) which took place on Wednesday 13th January. NLGroeit is the platform made up of and for businesses with ambitions to grow and who want to help each other to achieve growth. The aim of the platform is to inspire entrepreneurs as well as enable and facilitate business growth. The platform is also intended for those parties that support businesses in growth and excelling. Following an initiative from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, ‘NLevator’ (an organization made up of and for entrepreneurs who […]
First rotor stabilization system delivered in the USA
Having already delivered more than 50 rotor roll damping systems throughout Europe, DMS Holland’s first system to be delivered in the USA was put in to operation at the beginning of December on board of MY Montrevel. From 1998 to 2000 the ship underwent a complete refit at Cantieri Navale Fratelli Orlando in Italy where it was converted in to a pleasure yacht. The yacht has a relatively small draught and a very flat bottom enabling it to enter shallower waters and ports. Due to these two features there was a limited choice of available stabilization systems and stabilizers with fins were not an option. As a result, hydraulic rotor-stabilizers, from the brand Rotary, were selected and installed during this major refit. There were 3 generators on board. A few years after the refit the original central night generator was removed and 4 Mitsubishi gyro stabilizers were installed specifically for […]
Flying start for MagnusMaster
The recent news that, as of November 7th 2015, DMS Holland has fully switched over to its own, in-house developed, rotor stabilization system MagnusMaster has been very well received by the market. No less than six systems have already been sold within the two weeks since MagnusMaster’s introduction. In addition to the five newbuild projects which include an Aquanaut Andante 438 OC, a Linssen GS 590, a Sturier 520, a Jetten 44 Sedan and a Steeler NG 5, Wim van der Valk has also ordered the first MagnusMaster system to be used for a refit project which will be installed on a 15 meter vessel. Here are just a few of the improvements compared to existing rotor systems: The new DMS rotor system is maintenance free The system does not have distribution belts Maintenance-free bearings are used around the axes The system is much more compact and the installation height […]
Salesman or Innovator…?
As Dynamic Marine Systems we are naturally accustomed to riding the waves. Literally in terms of our products but then also within our business. We are constantly looking for that one wave of innovation that brings us a little closer to our spot on the horizon. For if maritime history has taught us anything, it is surely that modernization and innovation form the driving force behind yacht building. But in order to continue sailing on this innovation-focused course, sometimes we have to take a different tack. And for us that comes down to a choice between being the salesman or innovator. And we opt for the latter. Unconditionally. But we also opt for transparency. Hence this letter. ……..Innovator! In 2012, we started DMS Holland with two business operations. One as a distributor for RotorSwing Marine (RSM) to bring RotorSwing to the market and the other as the in-house developer and, […]
DMS Holland wins Shell LiveWIRE Rising Star Award
Last Thursday, on October 1st, we, DMS Holland, and our innovative AntiRoll system were awarded the Shell LiveWIRE Rising Star Award. LiveWIRE Rising Star is a competition for innovative companies in the Netherlands. In particular, for companies that have been in business for no longer than five years. The award was granted during national innovation day. We are incredibly proud that the public and the jury of professionals chose us as the most innovative young company in the Netherlands, especially considering the other nominees.
Successful Monaco Yacht Show
Last week, 23rd-26th September, the 25th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show took place. And once again, the show was visited by his Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. Whilst it might have been a ‘silver jubilee’ for the Monaco Yacht Show, for us it was a ‘première’. For the very first time, we also took part in this unique maritime event. Our innovative AntiRoll system can celebrate not only the amount of attention it received but also the targeted focus it attracted. And this in spite of the Holland House having moved to another location. Therefore Alberto Amici – our AntiRoll representative for Italy – lured various business relations to our stand. Solid enquiries and follow-up orders ‘rolled’ on in and could now be logged! In addition, we can now also celebrate ‘Proven Technology’ as the first AntiRoll system, installed on board of the Santa Maria T, continues to […]
DMS Holland nominated for Dutch SME Innovation Top 100 and LiveWIRE Rising Star
Immediately after Monaco, there is another major event on the calendar for DMS Holland, this time back in The Netherlands. For the company has been selected by the Chamber of Commerce from a large number of entries and put forward for the annual SME Innovation Top 100 (MKB Innovatie Top 100). This selection includes the 100 most innovative companies in the Netherlands. On October 1st, known as “Innovation Day”, the winner of the SME Innovation Top 100 2015 will be announced. The results will then show which company will hold the 2015 number one spot and who can be called the most innovative company in the Netherlands. In addition to the battle for the lead in the SME Innovation Top 100 2015, DMS Holland is also still in the race for the LiveWIRE Rising Star. Even better, in this competition DMS Holland has already reached the final 5. LiveWIRE Rising […]
AntiRoll huge success on Santa Maria T at zero speed
It all happened just off Corsica as the boat headed for Cannes Boat Show. Over the last few days, the zero speed functionality of the AntiRoll stabilization system has been put in to operation on board of Santa Maria T, a 37 metre trawler built by Van der Valk Continental Yachts. The results there and then: captain and crew knocked off their feet. Not because of their boat rolling to and fro but in sheer astonishment. The Santa Maria T remained perfectly still in the water only seconds after the AntiRoll stabilization system had been switched on. Perfectly still after only a few seconds. To activate the AntiRoll system the Captain set, from the bridge, a 6 degree roll angle to each side. Almost immediately after AntiRoll had been switched on, cries of disbelief and enthusiasm echoed from the bridge: 1 degree! And indeed, within a few seconds, AntiRoll brought […]
DMS Holland listed in the “MKB Innovatie Top 100” (SME Innovation Top 100)
On August 20th, during SAIL Amsterdam 2015, the Chamber of Commerce announced the 100 most innovative Dutch companies amongst small and medium-sized businesses. The selection was made by a panel of innovation experts choosing from a large number of entries all aiming to be listed in the annual Innovation Top 100. All nominees have been judged on their impact in their market sector and society, originality, availability plus turnover and growth potential. On October 1st during “Innovation day”, a jury, chaired by Ruud Koornstra (Tendris Holding) will publish a detailed listing of each company in the “MKB Innovatie Top 100” (SME Innovation Top 100).
Full steam ahead
DMS Holland has the wind in its sails having recently delivered our 50th stabilization system. Standing still often means regression, but not for us. We endeavour to achieve just that striving for near perfect balance. We mean of course quite literally for our systems but also for our company. A stable business ‘buoyant’ on innovation. One that is now also focused on innovation and improvement. The details and results of this focus will be made public in November during METS. We have achieved notable product advancements: higher reliability, simplifications and now extremely compact. Installation of our stabilization systems is therefore much easier.
Ready for the future
Due to our explosive growth and innovation drive, we, DMS Holland, have taken on a new facility with a development / testing space, a showroom and extensive office facilities located on the Siloweg in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Situated right on the water, it is an appropriate and ideal maritime environment. In the near future, our end customers will be able to moor up at the door.
First ‘sea’ trial AntiRoll successful
AntiRoll’s first ‘sea’ trial went very well last Thursday. The level of roll damping at very low speeds was even better than expected. Please take a look at our company video following the entire development process right through to and including AntiRoll taking to the water onboard of MY Santa Marie T. Keep an eye on our Facebook page – a video of sea trials plus the tests carried out by Marin coming soon!
International press visits with AntiRoll equiped MY Santa Maria T
As part of the schedule of the Holland Yachting Group’s Press Tour 12 editors of renown maritime magazines visited the Wim van der Valk shipyard. During the visit they have been taken on a guided tour of the yard. The 37 meter trawler Santa Maria T which has recently been goon into the water was one of the yachts that featured in the tour. One of the most unique features of Santa Maria T is the AntiRoll roll damping system. Santa Maria T has the honour of being the first yacht to be fitted with the innovative AntiRoll system.
First Grand Banks equipped with rotor system
Having originally started as a sponsor of “Amicale Grand Banks” in 2014, we have since received the first order for a Grand Banks from Kremer Nautic. In early March, a RotorSwing system was installed on board of the already cruising Grand Banks 53 Aleutian. Due to it being a fast cruising yacht, the installed rotor system includes the ‘Rake’ function. With the ‘Rake’ functionality, the rotors can be set at an angle of 45 ° enabling the vessel to benefit from optimal roll reduction whilst at sailing at speeds of 10 to 16 knots. At higher speeds, the rotors are retracted back against the hull to minimize resistance. GrandBanks 53 Aleutian with DMS-rotor system DMS rotor system in action with forced roll. The system starts from as little as 3 knots. This system is equipped with the rake function for use up to 16 knots. At higher speeds, the rotors […]
Sea trial attracts school of dolphins
The first rotor system featuring zero speed functionality has been installed on board of MY Vanguard. The sea trial, just off the the Turkish coast, saw MY Vanguard accompanied by a school of dolphins. In close collaboration with the architect Dincer Dinc and DMS Holland, Naval Yachts in Turkey installed the system. MY Vanguard was originally built at the Wheeler Shipyard in New York for the US navy and then went on to be used by the US Coast Guard. In 2007, she was converted and refitted in to a motor yacht by RMK Shipyard in Istanbul. In order to improve the onboard experience and sailing comfort, with charter guests in mind as well, MY Vanguard‘s owner took the decision to have the yacht equipped with stabilizers. The relative ease of installation and the fact that the rotors can be installed at a position of choice were influential factors in […]
Refit MY Endless Summer started
Last week Patrick Noor and Arnold van Aken visited MY Endless Summer in Florida. The yacht, a 50 meter Feadship, which was built in 1991 by Royal van Lent, is undergoing a major refit. Part of the refit works is the replacement of the current Vosper stabilization system for an AntiRoll system. Within the coming weeks the AntiRoll production facility will start with the production of the system with 3,5 m2 high aspect ratio fins. Within 5 months the system will be installed on board.
First DMS rotor system for Boarncruiser Elegance
DMS Holland is delighted to now also be able to include the renowned shipyard De Boarnstream amongst its clientele. De Boarnstream has chosen to equip the Elegance 1200 with the DMS Rotor System fitted with one rotor. As the rotor system does not have any effect on the steering, the rotor can be mounted at a position of choice, and in this case, simply one rotor on one side of the yacht is sufficient. The Elegance 1200 Sedan, which is currently in build, was recently fitted with the system preparations, including the base and the welding bus, for the DMS Rotor System. The yacht will be showcased at the upcoming Hiswa-in-Water show.
DMS Holland spreads its wings
Having started out with the market in The Netherlands, DMS Holland is now looking to get a foothold abroad for its roll damping system. Since March 1st, they have become members of the HISWA Holland Yachting Group and the Orange Yachting Group with an aim to accelerate the expansion in to foreign markets. Both associations represent the interests of the Dutch yacht building industry by engaging in various international marketing activities focussed around the ‘Holland Brand’. The Netherlands is still seen as a leading, premier yacht building country, largely due to the high quality & standards and high degree of innovation. DMS Holland believes strongly in the collective: together we must uphold the ‘Dutch standard’ and ‘sell’ abroad.
Lots of interest in the rotor system amongst KNMC members
On Saturday March 28th 2015, during the KNMC (Royal Dutch Motorboat Club) members meeting at De Scheepbouwers Maritiem in Werkendam, DMS Holland gave a presentation on the rotor roll damping system. “It was an enthusiastic, very interested and appreciative audience. The attendees, mostly yacht owners, know exactly how uncomfortable it can be on board when there are some waves. We offer them the solution. A system that can be installed on their current yacht, simply and quickly. ” said Patrick Noor. The KNMC is a national association of active and enthusiastic yachtsmen. A group of people who love the water and sailing, consider watersports to be a real relaxation and don’t lose sight of enjoyment on board or on shore. For more information about the KNMC or to become a member, visit the website www.knmc.nl.
Wim van der Valk Experience Event a huge success
Last weekend, DMS Holland showcased themselves at the Wim van der Valk Experience Event. The visitor couldn’t miss the AntiRoll roll damping system that has been installed underneath the 37-meter Trawler. The vessel and its system stood prominently on display in the hall for all visitors to see. For both DMS Holland and Wim van der Valk, it was a world first; the public could take their first ever look at an AntiRoll system installed underneath a superyacht. Furthermore, this 37 meter Trawler is the first vessel in the world to be equipped with an AntiRoll roll damping system. “The event has lived up to all expectations. It was busy, and above all, the quality of visitors was high.” Comments Yoeri Bijker, Marketing Manager at Wim van der Valk.

Noblesse Bellamare to be equipped with RotorSwing System
At the end of April, a RotorSwing 140/1000 system will be installed on MY Chaflor, a Noblesse BellaMare 54, by Altena Marine from Raamsdonkveer. Features such as silent operation, retractable fins therefore the system less vulnerable, greater roll damping even at low speeds and ease of installation, were all key deciding factors for the owner in selecting RotorSwing. As the rotors can be mounted at a position of choice including at the stern where, in this case there is still space remaining, the installation doesn’t require any adaptation of the yacht’s paneling or interior. The RotorSwing system is supplied from stock and can be fully installed and ready for use within 3 days. It is an ideal product for retrofit projects.

As a result, at the end […]
